Christmas Wedding Receptions

To give a Christmas feel to your centrepieces give a seasonal twist to popular favourites. You can use lengths of Christmas tree fir, instead of other green foliage in your table arrangements. This not only gives a Christmas feel, but also a wonderful 'pine' fragrance. You can also incorporate holly and ivy into your designs.

Remember that many wedding reception venues will have their Christmas decorations up. Check with the venue beforehand to make sure that these are going to be tasteful and complement the wedding decorations that you are planning.

The lighting of your reception can have a big influence on the 'mood'. Even during the day many reception venues will need additional lighting in the winter. Instead of the harsh overhead lighting of the venue go for romantic candles, votives or candelabras on the tables.
