Real Wedding - Jenni's Purple and White Wedding Flowers
Purple wedding flowers are one of the most popular choices that I get asked for at the moment. This was the color theme chosen by Jenni when I recently created her wedding flowers.
One of the challenges of using this color is that it can sometimes recede into the background, especially if the bridesmaids are wearing dark color dresses. For this reason I chose to use white flowers along with the purple ones.
The Bridesmaid’s and Bridal Bouquets
Jenni chose to have a beautiful cascade bouquet (shower bouquet) created from white oriental lilies, roses and purple lisianthus and freesias. These lilies have a wonderful fragrance as well as being visually striking. As they are the bride’s favorite flower, I was keen to work them into the bouquet.
The bridesmaid’s bouquets were created with roses, freesias and lisianthus arranged in a posy style. Because they were wearing dark dresses, the white in the bouquet really helped to provide a lift and make them stand out.
The Ceremony Flowers
The wedding took place in a chapel called Wren’s Cathedral in the grounds of Wroxall Abbey.
We provided 2 bay trees to mark the entrance to the chapel and decorated them with purple colored ribbon.
Inside we placed pew-end decorations to give a real feeling of celebration.
When Jenni and her new husband emerged from the chapel, they were greeted with this lovely confetti shower.
The Reception Flowers
Jenni chose to have tall wedding centerpieces on her reception tables and we continued the purple and white flower theme. These arrangements featured submerged white roses in a vase with a lovely display on the top using purple lisianthus, freesias and roses.
A real high point of the reception decorations was the wedding cake itself. With a personalised cake topper and purple icing decoration, it was an eye-catching addition to the room.
After the wedding, the couple enjoyed a firework display in the grounds of Wroxall Abbey. What a wonderful way to end a perfect day.
A very big thanks to Jenni, for sharing some of her photos with us. I received a delightful thankyou card from the couple afterwards. Here is what they said about their wedding flowers:
"Thank you so much for our amazing wedding flowers. The table flowers transformed our wedding breakfast room and the bridal bouquet was beyond expectations"
