Red Wedding Flowers
It's hard to beat red wedding flowers for your bouquet. The classic combination of a white wedding dress and a stunning red rose bouquet says all the right things:
Two of my favourite red rose varieties are 'Grand Prix' and 'Passion'. Not only are these varieties a perfect colour, they have a beautiful soft velvety texture.
Other red flowers that you may like to consider in your bouquet include:
Anthuriums can be particularly striking in a bouquet. They are native to the tropical areas of the American continent. Great for adding a touch of the exotic and unusual.
Ceremony Flowers and Centrepieces
There is a wonderful array of vivid red wedding flowers for ceremony arrangements and centrepieces.
Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) can give real impact due to their large blooms. Ideal for winter weddings.
Gladioli are useful for adding height and interest to large pedestals and other ceremony arrangements.
Tropical flowers such as Heliconia have wonderful red colours in them. They work well for civil ceremony rooms in modern buildings such as hotels.
